Welcome!

Welcome to our blog.  We're new at this, so bear with us.  We've been together for 7 years, and we're "domestic partners," which really doesn't mean anything legally, except that we can be under the same health insurance.  We've been engaged for over 2 years, and will get married when the ridiculous laws in this country catch up to reality.  And we are, in fact, pathetically domestic, which means we'd rather stay in on a Friday night cuddling on the couch than go out and be crazy.  Not that we can't go crazy at times, we can and do, which I'm sure you'll learn later if you continue to read this blog.  We plan to write about our lives, experiences as a lesbian couple, and thoughts and opinions on the world around us.  Hopefully this blog will be entertaining, while showing that gay couples are just like "normal" couples, and should be given the same rights and treated equally.

  1. As someone who cares passionately about equal rights, I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys have to say. I wish people would realize that "the gay agenda" is not evil, but to have families like any other. I really like the name of your blog. Good luck!

  3. So glad to catch you two at the very beginning of your blogging experience. You may not know what you want to do with the blog yet, but believe me it will come together before you know it. Have fun and above all else enjoy yourselves. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. All the best.

  5. I don't remember who pointed the way for me to your blog but I'm glad they did. I would like to read about the doings of the 'other half." I have too many gays guys on my blog roll who are haven't got past the hormone stage and are posting things like "Underwear Monday" and "Post a Silly Video of Yourself Doing a Strip". It will be refreshing to read about a 'normal' gay couple for a change who isn't sex obsessed but with just living their lives as best they can under the still restrictive and prejudicial laws towards same sex couples in this country. My apologies to my 'regular' gay guy friends who aren't sex-obsessed. Most of those bloggers who do the "Underwear Monday" thing are the 'bi-sexual' middle aged guys who just found out they're gay. They all seem to follow the same pattern, making up for lost time. Am I rambling?

  6. No you're not rambling! That is kind of how we feel. We are in our late twenties and have been together for 7 years and it is really hard to find people we identify with. People our age are still in the crazy, drunken, club phase and people older than us either have kids or just too much going on in their own lives. It has been nice to meet some people who understand how we feel and to be able to share thoughts and stories through this media.
